たまゆら荘とは About Tamayura-sou

門司港の住み開きシェアハウス「ヤネウラ」を引き継ぎ、2025年4月より「たまゆら荘」として新たにスタートしました。
管理人夫婦が一室で暮らしながら、住み開きスタイルで運営しています。

築70年以上の木造3階建の建物で、1階と2階の一部には居酒屋さんが入居。
2階は元喫茶店と美容室を活用し、「たまゆら珍館」の拠点として運営しています。
その上の3階ワンフロアが、シェアハウス「たまゆら荘」です。

間取りは5LLDK。キッチンを中心にリビングと個室がぐるりと配置された、少し変わったつくりになっています。

アーティスト、旅人、季節労働者、ニート、会社員など、肩書きも背景もさまざまな人たちが集い、共同生活を送っています。

定期的にご近所さんや友人を招いてごはん会やイベントも開催しており、
たわいもないことで笑い合いながら、ゆるやかな交流が生まれています。

Tamayura Sou began in April 2025 as the successor to “Yaneura,” an open-community shared house in Mojiko.
The caretaker couple lives on-site in one of the rooms and operates the house in a “sumibiraki” style — a uniquely Japanese approach to communal living that keeps the home open to visitors, neighbors, and creative exchange.

The building itself is a more than 70-year-old three-story wooden structure.
Parts of the first and second floors are occupied by local izakaya restaurants, while the second floor has been transformed from a former coffee shop and hair salon into the home of “Tamayura Chinkan.”
The entire third floor above serves as the shared house, “Tamayura Sou.”

The layout is a distinctive 5LLDK, with private rooms and common spaces arranged around a central kitchen and living area.

Artists, travelers, seasonal workers, unemployed people, office workers, and individuals from many different backgrounds gather here to share everyday life together.

We also regularly host casual dinners and small events with neighbors and friends, creating a relaxed atmosphere where unexpected conversations and connections naturally emerge.

私は学生時代から、シェアハウスを転々としながら暮らしてきました。
安価で暮らせるという点ももちろんありますが、それ以上に「面白い人たちと出会えること」が、自分にとっての最大の魅力でした。

常識や既存の価値観にとらわれず、自分のやりたいことを優先して生きている人たちとの出会いは、
自分自身の価値観に大きな影響を与えてくれました。

たまゆら荘もまた、そんなふうに面白い人たちと出会い、人生に小さな刺激や変化が生まれる場所でありたい。

また、「たまゆら珍館」と連携し、アーティストの滞在や受け入れも積極的に行っていく予定です。

少し変で、カオスで、どこか芸術的。

Since my student days, I have spent much of my life moving between different shared houses.
Of course, affordable living was part of the appeal, but more than anything, what fascinated me most was the opportunity to meet interesting people.

Encountering people who live freely — prioritizing their own passions over conventional expectations or social norms — had a profound influence on my own way of thinking and living.

I hope Tamayura Sou can become a place where people encounter others like that as well — a place where small inspirations, unexpected perspectives, and subtle changes in life naturally emerge.

We also plan to actively collaborate with “Tamayura Chinkan” by hosting and supporting visiting artists through residency programs and creative exchanges.

A little strange, chaotic, and somehow artistic —
